Exports and Digerati in the world
“Digerati Publishing (Editora Digerati), which produces editorial content for the IT and games segments, celebrating the increase in demand within the country, is now tracing a new and ambitious chapter through one of its international project: the opening of a subsidiary in India, to produce content for both Brazil and for english speaking countries.
Founded ten years ago, the company has been exporting magazines with free CDs, replete with kid’s games, to India since 2006, through its partnership with the Indian publishing house Delhi.
The project to internationalize the activities of the publishing house began in 2004, with the opening of the Spanish office, from where the company now exports to 11 countries in Latin America: Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Ecuador, Peru, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, and Venezuela. From Brazil, the company further exports to Portugal.
The company exported a million copies in 2007, an increase of 43% over the 700,000 copies exported in 2006. Expectation for this year is to increase shipments by some 30% to the 1.3 million copies mark.”
