New DVDs from the BBC
In July, we start the distribution, in Argentina and Chile, of a collection of DVDs from the BBC.
More than 500 years ago, Michelangelo created three of the greatest icons in the world of art: the statue of David, the frescos of the Sistine Chapel and the dome of the Basilica of Saint Peter’s.
In this splendid documentary, the BBC recreates the story of this genius, a young temperamental man who would become the greatest artist of all times.
The first in the series, filmed in Rome and Florence, in Italy, brings together the opinions of renowned historians about the many myths that surround his extraordinary life and further shows modern artists trying to recreate elements of his work.
All of this together with a dramatic reconstruction of the life of Michelangelo interpreted by the actor Stephen Noonan.
